In the clothing industry, the name Nickel has stood for reliability for decades. Thanks to our staff's high level of fashion-awareness and long-standing experience in international trade, we are today in a position to offer our customers a wide range of top-selling ladies’, gents’ and children's outdoor fashions.
Founded in Hamburg in 1925 under the name of Paul Alfons Rehbein and owner-managed to this day, our company initially dealt with the import of foodstuffs. Even in those early days, a long-standing cooperation with our suppliers that was based on mutual trust guaranteed that we were always able to meet our customers' orders – a principle which we still adhere to.
The clothing business was launched as long ago as the mid-1960s. In 1967, Heinrich Nickel & Co. was established specifically for the sale of textiles. Thanks to continually increasing demand, the company grew quickly. Less than a decade later, the successful expansion resulted in the construction of a dedicated office and warehousing complex. This has given us around 8.000 m² of storage space at our company headquarters in Glinde, just outside Hamburg. To be able to guarantee 100% reliability, we distribute the goods to our customers from here ourselves.
